As the second week of training for the upcoming season comes to an end, the focus has been on laying a strong foundation. At this stage and for the next fours weeks, it's all about generalized physical preparation to ensue the body is ready for the more specific and intensive phases of training ahead.

Due to my osteitis, it was necessary to find alternatives to traditional maximal aerobic speed (MAS) training in order to avoid repetitive impacts. One of the most commonly used alternatives has been cycling, which allows for a high-intensity workout without the strain caused by running. This helps maintain aerobic conditioning while minimizing the risk of aggravating the injury.
At the moment, I have 8 training sessions per week, which mainly consist of maximal aerobic speed (MAS) workouts, strength training, mobility exercises, and conditioning work supplemented by 2 physiotherapy sessions to support recovery and ensure everything is progressing smoothly.
Despite the challenges of managing osteitis, things are evolving well. The body is responding positively and I'm excited about the progress being made. As always, I'm eager to get back to hurdling and push towards my goals for the season.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build momentum.
